
Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley police said the men were tampering with the white Citi Golf’s ignition.
“They saw the owner of the car coming towards them, and they quickly jumped out of the car and into a black Golf 7 which was parked next to them,” explained Maphakela.
The suspects drove off, leaving a damaged ignition with some of its parts on the floor. Maphakela said the damage to the vehicle was estimated to be about R20 000.
“The owner of the vehicle could not give a description of the suspects,” added Maphakela.
No arrests have been made.
