Elijah Mhlanga, spokesperson at the department stated that the results would be released on 6 January at the schools and venues where the examinations were written.
He would not shed light on other options for releasing the results. He, however advised that the education minister Angie Motsekga and provincial MECs of education would make an announcement on 25 November which may include information on other options for releasing the results.
