Lesego Puso... City Buzz journalist Lesego Puso said the scariest film she had seen was the 2013 film The Purge. She added, “I was scared by people killing each other and the whole innuendo about how white people would buy black people and kill them, so that was creepy.”
Some will make you jump out of your seat and others will leave you with an unnecessary emotional scar, from The Purge to The Exorcist everyone has been freaked out by a creaking door or a man in a scary mask.
Gugu Zwane… Sandton Chronicle Journalist Gugu Zwane said, “The scariest film I’ve ever seen was actually not even a horror, but a suspense thriller called Prisoners with Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. It was scary because my biggest fear is being abducted.”
Laura Byrne… North Eastern Tribune journalist Laura Byrne said the last horror she saw was Thirteen Ghosts, which she watched with her friends. She added, “I was about 16 at the time, and a bunch of friends and I watch it. We only got up to the third ghost and we had to turn it off.”
Ashley Lechmann… “I think An American Haunting was the scariest film I’ve ever seen. It really freaked me out,” said Digital Editor Ashley Lechmann.
