Victim Errol Elseon has come forward to thank the Sandton police for their good police work. He and his domestic worker were attacked by six men who assaulted him and ransacked his home. “They gained entry to my property by lifting the gate off the rail,” he said.
“They got inside the house, hit me on the head with a metal object and tied me and my domestic worker with cables,” he explained.
“After we opened a case with the Sandton police, they have followed up on the case, made three arrests and have continued to check up on our well-being. Colonel Andre de Klerk has been absolutely phenomenal,” he added.
Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, acting spokesperson for the Sandton police, said the suspects in police custody have been charged with house robbery, and possession of stolen property.
“A fourth suspect has been arrested and he is in police custody,” added Maphakela. “He will appear in court soon.”
