Rivonia Catholic Women’s League to host food fair
RIVONIA - With Heritage Day around the corner, the Rivonia Catholic Women’s League will once again host its International Food Fair at the church.
The fair is aimed at celebrating diversity in cuisine and will feature a variety of traditional food and entertainment.
According to Gugu Sekonya, representing the women’s league, the event is also aimed at raising funds for a new building project and various charities.
“We are also hosting the event as a way to get the community to interact with one another and celebrate their heritage,” she explained.
A variety of activities would take place on the day and Sekonya ensured that it would be a fun-filled day for the entire family.
The church invites the public to support the initiative taking place on 21 September from 10.30am.
“Come in your best traditional outfit and stand a chance of winning a few prizes for the best dressed,” she said.
