Hammer involved in Bryanston taxi violence

BRYANSTON - A taxi violence incident took place at the intersection of William Nicol Drive and Sloane Street on 10 September.

According to Emer-G-Med, their paramedics attended to a taxi violence incident on the afternoon of 10 September. Calls received said shots had been fired however when paramedics arrived on scene they found that it was in fact a case of assault.  Two people had been hit on the head with a hammer. One man sustained moderate injuries and the other sustained minor injuries. Both men were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further medical treatment.

Emer-G-Med tweeted that they were on-scene after there was an incident of taxi violence. It is unknown whether anyone was injured. There is an unconfirmed claims from police that a hammer was used. On Twitter, some claimed there was a shootout.

Ranburg police said they responded to the scene but could not give any details of the crime.

Traffic was backed-up and many motorists took to Twitter to complain about the delays on William Nicol Drive.
