The Maslow Hotel scoops two awards

SANDTON - Sun International’s The Maslow Hotel in Sandton scooped two awards at the 2014 Business Traveller Awards.

The hotel was awarded for the Best Business Hotel in South Africa and the Best Small Conference Venue.

The awards were staged by Future Group, the publishers of Business Traveller Africa magazine. Now in its third year, the awards serve to acknowledge excellence in the South African business travel sector.

This year’s awards held at The Maslow Hotel in Sandton, were hosted in association with headline sponsor Gautrain, research partner TNS, and corporate partners Bidvest Bank, Carlson Rezidor, ExecuJet, Hotel Verde and Travelport.

The hotel was nominated for Best Small Conference Venue, which was included in the 2014 awards programme for the first time this year.

Awards are based on the results of a comprehensive survey of travel buyers, travel agents, actual business travellers, professional conference organisers, executive assistants, personal assistants, and suppliers in the business travel space.

“We are absolutely thrilled that The Maslow has been acknowledged as the leading business hotel in South Africa,” said Johan Scheepers, the general manager at The Maslow Hotel.

“These accolades bear testimony to our employees’ commitment to service excellence, quality, professionalism, and innovation. As ambassadors, living out the values of Sun International, they have helped entrench the Maslow as a leading and respected business hotel in less than two years.”

He acknowledged that the hotel business is a highly-competitive and dynamic industry.

“To be recognised as a top business hotel, we must stay focused on continuous improvement and innovation,” added Scheepers.
