Gautrain delayed 20 minutes
JOBURG - There will be a 20-minute delay on the north-south Gautrain line until 5pm on 20 August.
Gautrain issued the notice that the train’s service was delayed after about 370m of signalling cable was stolen from the line between Midrand and Samrand.
The cable was recovered by the Gautrain’s security.
The trains between Centurion and Midrand would be delayed, however the trains to and from the airport were not affected.

I was one of the unlucky few you who was involved in the delay. We got announcement that train was delayed. We could have been informed as to the reason why. I have had such a hetic week with the bus strike and gautrain being delayed. Will it ever end.
When we got on the train it was packed to capacity. I was lucky to get a seat. A lot of people did’nt. Not pleasant at all
